How it Works
Each box of Nesco Jerky Seasoning comes with 3 packages of Seasoning and 3 packages of Cure. Each package of seasoning/cure mixes with 2lbs of your favorite jerky meat.
Jerky can be made with ground meat which is then pushed through a jerky gun to form strips or with sliced meat.
Ground Meat – Mix 2lbs of ground meat with 1 package of seasoning and 1 package of cure. Mix well and let it season in the refrigerator, the longer the better. Then load it into a jerky gun and form it into strips on your dehydrator rack.
Sliced Meat – Slice 2lbs of meat against the grain if possible. Combine 1 package of seasoning, 1 package of cure and 1/2 cup water and stir well. Add this marinade to 2lbs of thinly sliced meat and marinate in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours. We suggest using heavy duty resealable bags so that you can knead the mixture every so often. This ensures that the marinate mixes through the meat completely. Our results have been best when marinating for a minimum of 24 hours. When marination is complete, add to your dehydrator rack.
